Africanized (Amer.) adj. given an African character, made African in nature; replaced European staff or white staff of an organization in Africa with black Africans; that has been brought under African influence, adapted to African necessities (also Africanised) Africanize (Amer.) v. give African character, make something African in nature; replace European staff or white staff of an organization in Africa with black Africans; bring under African influence, adapt to African necessities; become African (also Africanise)
